After completing my Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration at the University of Applied Sciences Aachen, I started the two-year trainee programme at the dalli group in April 2018. The programme started with a period of several weeks at our production site in Heerde, in the Netherlands. There, I was able to gain a comprehensive insight into the interface between production and the organisation and administration. I received a project assignment, which challenged me and got me directly involved in the operational business. The personal on-site support and the smooth organisation made it easy for me to feel at home in the company.

This was followed by deployments in various departments, such as Sales, Controlling and Logistics. This not only enabled me to gain a good overview of the various processes throughout the company, but also to get to know my strengths and weaknesses better and to build my own network. Especially in my last position, in Purchasing, I liked the responsibility, the varied and independent work, as well as the constant contact with suppliers and internal customers. So, I was very happy to be offered a job as a buyer after the trainee programme.

 The trainee programme enabled me to gain an extensive understanding of the internal relationships, which gives me the expertise and self-confidence to meet the high demands of my current position as a buyer.

 Another advantage of the trainee programme was the continuous support from my mentor, who was always a helpful contact and supported me with feedback and tips.
