Your role
As a chemical laboratory technician, you support all tasks in the chemical laboratories, such as:
Preparing and conducting chemical/physical examinations and test series
Analysing substances, separating substance mixtures and producing chemical substances
Evaluating and recording results

The key facts
How long does the training take?
Your training lasts 3.5 years in total, but it is possible to reduce this time.
What level of education do you need?
You should have at least the "Fachoberschulreife" (upper secondary school/vocational entrance qualification).
What does your final examination involve?
At the end of your training, you will complete your final examination at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce. You will be prepared for this with exam preparation courses.
