Human Resources
We firmly believe that our employees are the most important resource of our company. This is because their passion and expertise is constantly pushing our company forwards, ensuring that Mäurer & Wirtz has become a globally successful fragrance manufacturer.
Our human resources team is divided into different areas: Staff management, staff and organisation development and employer branding. In all areas, you will focus on the "human resource", aided by our HR strategy – all employees should feel at home with us.
In staff management, you will be responsible, for example, for all operational human resources work, cooperation with the works council and recruitment of new employees. You will be responsible for providing all-round support for our employees and you will act as a point of contact for managers and employees on staff issues.
As part of the staff and organisation development team, you will be responsible for the qualification of our employees based on individual needs. Internal development programmes for different career levels, further education and training courses, as well as external qualification activities, ensure the systematic professional and personal development of our employees. Numerous exciting discussion, learning and feedback frameworks promote cross-hierarchical and interdepartmental exchange and are used for networking with others.
In the employer branding team, you will be strengthening our employer brand through various internal and external measures and positioning Mäurer & Wirtz as an attractive employer. The reach of our employer brand is increased through our social media activities, and you can awaken the interest of future employees at career fairs in Aachen and the surrounding area. Our scholarship programme for students at the University of Applied Sciences Aachen, events such as student days at Mäurer & Wirtz and targeted university marketing campaigns enable us to draw potential applicants' attention to our company. Once employees are part of the Mäurer & Wirtz family, it is important for us to make our new family members happy with small gestures and internal measures such as onboarding and parenting packages, a birthday letter or corporate benefits.
Our goal is to create a climate of collaboration that allows us to retain satisfied, qualified and motivated employees in a pleasant work environment.
Join the Mäurer & Wirtz family!
If you have any questions or concerns, we'll be happy to help at any time.
Nadine Knapp, HR Development Manager
"In the family-owned company of Mäurer & Wirtz, I have the opportunity to contribute my ideas and can actively help shape my area of responsibility."
How did you come to Mäurer & Wirtz?
I initially studied Business Administration as a dual study programme and trained as an insurance broker, then went to Aachen University of Applied Sciences to earn a Master's degree. I was particularly fascinated by the field of HR and completed an internship at Mäurer & Wirtz after my semester abroad. Subsequently, I wrote my Master's thesis in collaboration with Mäurer & Wirtz and am now the team member responsible for HR development issues and our employer branding activities.
What motivates you?
I find it highly motivating to accomplish new, exciting and challenging work every day. In the family-owned company of Mäurer & Wirtz, I have the opportunity to contribute my ideas and can actively help shape my area of responsibility. Plus I enjoy meeting our HR team every day and working with my colleagues.
I also think it's exciting to support people in their professional and personal development, which I can realise by means of various personnel development issues. I experience something new every day with different people from all areas of the company, so that no two days are the same.
What are your responsibilities?
In addition to personnel development, I also manage our employer branding activities. This means maintaining social media channels, planning and participating in career fairs, collaborating with universities and scholarship programmes, and maintaining this career website. Our #herznote accompanies me every day as I pursue these activities with heart and passion.
Katrin Plaßhenrich, Senior HR Manager
"The corporate culture is characterised by openness, mutual understanding and loyalty."
My name is Katrin Plaßhenrich and I have been part of Mäurer & Wirtz's HR team since 2013. Since then, I have been responsible for personnel issues across the whole range of different divisions within the company. Alongside my work, I obtained a qualification as a certified HR Manager (IHK) with AEVO certificate.
This basically covers everything from recruitment and appointment to support during the employment relationship and on to the eventual termination of employment. I am also responsible for devising and implementing various HR projects. Collaboration with different departments and various interfaces within the company round off the varied nature of my work.
Every day in HR is different. That's what makes the job so interesting. I find the labour law part particularly exciting, because I can contribute my knowledge in this area, acquired as a trained legal assistant.
For me, Mäurer & Wirz is a truly interesting employer, as it combines tradition and modernity. As a family-owned company, the focus is on the employee. The corporate culture is characterised by openness, mutual understanding and loyalty. It's fun to be part of Mäurer & Wirtz, and to pull in the same direction with my colleagues. It fills me with pride to see our products in stores and shop windows. If you also want to find your dream job with us, just apply!
