Your role
As a chemical technician, you support all tasks in the chemical areas of production, such as:
Control and monitoring of equipment for manufacturing
Filling and packaging of chemical products
Recognising and correcting faults in production systems
Control of measurement values and process parameters
Sampling and in-process control with physical and chemical measurement procedures
Maintenance work

The key facts
How long does the training take?
Your training lasts a total of three years but it is possible to shorten this to 2.5 years with good performance.
What level of education do you need?
You should have the "Fachoberschulreife" (entrance qualification for a technical college).
What does your final examination involve?
At the end of your training, you will complete your final examination at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Exam preparation courses will fully prepare you for this.
