Christian Forsch, Head of Controlling

"For me, the sense of working together at Mäurer & Wirtz is one of the reasons why I enjoy going to work every day."

Tell us more about your area of responsibility and what fascinates you about it.

As Head of Controlling for Sales, Projects and Production, I follow the same motto that we also use to market our successful fragrance, Tabac Original Craftsman: 'No ifs, no buts' – because the invoice must tally and the analysis and figures must be correct. As a Controller, you are involved in almost all business processes – from the idea through to production, packaging and design. The most important thing for me here is having the right chemistry with colleagues and providing mutual support.

What makes Mäurer & Wirtz special for you?

For me, the sense of working together at Mäurer & Wirtz is one of the reasons why I enjoy going to work every day, as it is only by shared endeavour that we can deliver the best possible calculations, optimise processes and create helpful analyses.

Eva Blumenthal, Controller

"I really hit the jackpot with my job at Mäurer & Wirtz."

How did you come to Mäurer & Wirtz? And what do you particularly like about your job?

Having changed career myself in 2018, I experienced first-hand how important it is to Mäurer & Wirtz to encourage employees. After working in various positions, I was given the opportunity to become first a Junior Controller and finally a Controller.

Today I am able to advise Marketing on the development of new fragrances and the associated campaigns in terms of cost and yield and thus constantly come into contact with the latest trends and fragrances. For me it's the perfect combination!

What do you particularly like about your job?

It gives me the unique opportunity to combine my love of fragrance with my professional passion for numbers and analysis.

Jacqueline Zahlten, Junior Purchasing Manager

What do you particularly like about your job?

In my work at Mäurer & Wirtz, I love working with my colleagues from various areas such as e-commerce, media, trade marketing, fragrance development and packaging development. My tasks are also very multifaceted, especially in the area of POS purchasing. The many interfaces and the different requirements make my job particularly interesting.

What motivates you?

I am happy that I can work for a family business with traditional brands. This makes me incredibly proud, because for me, traditions stand for both consistency and the courage to change. Mäurer & Wirtz masters this balancing act very well. I am also motivated by the opportunity to participate in both purchasing and processes.

What makes Mäurer & Wirtz so special?

I particularly appreciate the corporate culture at Mäurer & Wirtz: one the company actually lives by rather than a mere written document. I have the feeling of being well informed, have a good exchange with my superiors, and the interfaces and the interaction with each other in the team is characterised by trust and joy in the work. I also really like having the opportunity to participate in development programmes that not only advance me professionally but also personally. We are not only challenged here but also actively supported. I also think it is great that it is possible to follow your own path as a mother and in part-time employment.

Florian Nysten, Purchasing Manager

How long have you been working at Mäurer & Wirtz? And what makes Mäurer & Wirtz special for you?

I have been part of the Mäurer & Wirtz team since May 2022. As a purchasing manager, no day is like any other – especially not at Mäurer & Wirtz. There are new, exciting challenges and tasks to be mastered on the procurement markets every day.

These challenges need to be overcome in a team that is characterised by a wealth of experience, agility and friendship. The mix of generations makes Mäurer & Wirtz a true family-owned company and makes coming to work a real pleasure.

I'm responsible in projects for fragrances that I knew as a child, but also new fragrances that focus on sustainability and recyclability. I am particularly proud to accompany these fragrances from the initial idea to delivery and then see them in markets and/or online shops.

Through my work as a purchasing manager, I can fully live out and develop my enjoyment in establishing contact and my communication skills. Mäurer & Wirtz helps me to develop not only professionally but also personally.

I look forward to many more exciting years!
